Overview

Swiss Hosts connects travellers in motorhomes and vans with hosts across Switzerland: wineries, farms, breweries, craft businesses and restaurants that welcome them to stay. AgenCoder built the cross-platform mobile app.

The challenge

Travellers needed one simple app to discover hosts, check details such as parking spaces and vehicle types, and contact them. The service is membership-based and multilingual, so the app had to handle sign-in, membership access and several languages.

Solution & strategy

  • A single React Native codebase for both iOS and Android.
  • Google Maps API integration with an interactive map of hosts, plus multiple filters for finding the right place.
  • Host detail pages with photo galleries, ratings, pitch information (parking spaces, vehicle types, pets) and descriptions.
  • Membership features, including sign-in, profiles and a downloadable digital membership card.
  • Multilingual support and trip-planning shortcuts: search and find, contact host and visit host.
  • A WordPress web admin panel connected through RESTful APIs, so the team can manage hosts and content.

What we delivered

The client launched a cross-platform app that takes members from planning a trip to finding, viewing and contacting hosts, all from one place.

  • iOS and Android apps from one React Native codebase.
  • Interactive host map with filters (Google Maps API).
  • Membership flow with sign-in, profile and digital membership card.
  • Multilingual interface.
  • WordPress admin panel and REST API integration.
